Discover the capital of romance on a private tour from Lisbon to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra.
On the way there take a look at the National Palace of Queluz, home to most of the Braganças and the birth and death place of D. Pedro IV, the liberal king and the man who gave Brazil its independence on the 7th September 1822. Usually referred to as the Portuguese Versailles.
Once in Sintra, explore the pretty streets of the village to see the Sintra National Palace, the 12th Century Church built by Portugal’s 1st king upon wresting it from the Moors, the ancient fountains and shrines. Get a taste of the local pastries, the famed Queijada and Travesseiro.
Then, visit the westernmost point of continental Europe at Cabo da Roca.
Travel back to Lisbon via the elegant town of Cascais, and marvel at the Guincho Beach dunes along the way.
