- 8:00 – Pickup in Lisbon. With tickets already in hand you go straight to the top of the mountain.
- 8:45 – Pena Palace: the terraces, the painted façades and the park, before the main crowds arrive. About 90 minutes.
- 10:30 – Moorish Castle, a short drive or walk away: a lap of the 9th-century walls with views over the village and out to the ocean.
- 12:00 – Sintra historic centre: free time for lunch and a queijada or travesseiro. Your guide recommends places at different price points.
- 13:45 – Monserrate Palace, reached by the quiet back road: the Moorish-Gothic palace and its botanical gardens, usually almost empty in the afternoon.
- 15:30 – Return to Lisbon along the mountain road; drop-off around 16:00.

Please note that our tours are designed to last 8 hours. If you wish to include additional stops, such as Cascais, Cabo da Roca, or other attractions, we recommend limiting your visit to only 2 monuments. Due to time constraints, it will not be possible to visit all attractions within the allocated time.

Which three monuments are included?
Pena Palace, the Moorish Castle and Monserrate Palace, with all entrance tickets pre-booked and included in the price.
Do we skip the ticket queues?
Yes. Tickets are bought in advance for the correct time slot, so you enter directly. In summer this alone saves an hour at Pena Palace.
Can we swap one monument for Quinta da Regaleira?
Yes, tell us when you book. Regaleira can replace Monserrate at no extra cost; the difference in ticket price, if any, is settled on the day.
Is lunch included?
No, so you can choose where to eat in the village. Your guide will suggest options from a quick tasca to a full sit-down lunch.
How much walking is there?
Around 4 to 5 km in total over the day, including the uphill path to Pena Palace and the castle walls. Comfortable shoes matter more than fitness.
