Highlights
Our first stop is the picturesque village of Sintra. Located just a short drive from Lisbon, Sintra is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning natural beauty and rich history. We’ll take a stroll through the narrow cobblestone streets and admire the charming architecture of the village, including the National Palace of Sintra and the Quinta da Regaleira.
Next, we’ll visit the enchanting Quinta da Regaleira estate, a fairy-tale palace with lush gardens, grottos, and tunnels. The palace was built by a wealthy Portuguese merchant in the early 1900s and features a variety of unique architectural styles, including Gothic, Renaissance, and Manueline.
After exploring Regaleira, we’ll head to a local winery in the nearby town of Colares for a wine tasting. We’ll have the opportunity to taste some of the region’s finest wines and learn about the traditional winemaking methods.
Our next stop is the westernmost point of mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca. Here, we’ll take in breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean from the cliff-top lighthouse and explore the rugged coastline.
